Owen's Goals for 2015

In 2014, I had a goal to run a marathon in 12 different states in 12 different calendar months.  I accomplished that goal and enjoyed the year very much.  I cherish the memories I made with my family traveling to those states.  Because those races were so close together, I never truly raced any of them.  I was happy with my times in all 12 of them, but I know I can run faster.

For 2015, I have a different goal.  I want to run only two marathons, and have them be very high quality races that I give everything I have.  In addition to that, I will run with Malissa during her Myrtle Beach Marathon on Valentine's Day.

Making my goals public, and my progress towards those goals public, really helps me achieve them.  For goals to work they have to be specific, measurable, in writing, and have a time limit.

Here are my specific 2015 goals, followed by the checklist of smaller goals that will help me get there.  I will update my progress every Sunday.

1.  April 20th: Complete the 2015 Boston Marathon in under 3:15:00 (7:26 pace per mile)
2.  July 19th: Complete the 2015 Revel Rockies Marathon in under 3:00:00 (6:52 pace per mile)

12/31/2014 UPDATE: I originally started this in the middle of November, but failed miserably. With Jacksonville's end of year marathon, the holidays, etc. I found excuses to not stick to it. With Boston Marathon training starting tomorrow (1/1/15) I will stick to it every day with that being my next event.  So the sheet below has been modified to start Jan. 1.
